We are really getting excited about our delightful evening. We still need a lot more ticket sales to meet our goal.  With a week before the event, and we have sold just over $14,000 in tickets.  So we have a way to go yet to meet our goal of $25,000.  Please turn in your sold tickets as soon as possible; we need to get an accurate count of the number of people attending to the Country Club by Wednesday, March 3rd  Please help us reach our ticket sales goal and also, please avoid waiting until the last minute to turn them in!  Thanks!

We need your help in gathering more prizes and auction items.  Our prize list is growing,  If you have any last minute ideas, or if you have any green cards and prizes, now is the time to finish things up.  Please bring everything in ASAP to avoid inundating Jo at the last second!   The target date to bring in prizes and auction items is THIS FRIDAY; Deadline is NEXT TUESDAY, March 2nd.  Anything brought in after that date will be put in a second chance drawing at the party (Details below). Thanks to all of you who have worked so hard to support The Acorn, with everyone’s help we can reach our goals.

Second Chance Drawing: At the party, for $20 you will have the opportunity to have a taste of Coach Gregg Popovich’s private label pinot noir AND have a chance at winning a nice prize!  So plan ahead to participate in this fun way to win a prize and support the school!

Silent Auction/Tie Breakers:  Come ready to bid on our many varied items offered on this year’s auction!  As we close the auction tables, we will offer opportunities for “tie-breakers” if there are two or more people interested in making that final bid.  Interested bidders  must stand by that sought-after item and submit a closed tie breaker bid, and the item will go to the top bidder.  Remember to bring your checkbooks, (we cannot take credit cards) and be prepared to take your items home with you.
*Silent Auction Strategy:  It’s human nature to try to get items as cheaply as possible,
but please think generously and help bid up these great auction items to help The Acorn.  Thanks!*

Saturday Transport/Setup Help:  At the Kickoff coffee in January, some of you pledged your help to set up for the party, but we need more helpers.  Please let us know that you can help with preparations during the day Saturday, both with transporting items from school to the country club, and also helping to set up the silent auction.  The more people helping, the faster it will go!  Last year we were done by mid-afternoon.  So if you can help for 2 - 4 hours (without children) between 9:00 and 2:00, please call the office.  Thanks!

Help During/After the Party:  A number of volunteers are set to help during the party, but we could use a number more people to assist with boxing up unclaimed auction items for transport back to school.  Please let us know if you can help!  Jo will be e-mailing details to those of you who have agreed to help.  If you can add your name to the list, just give Jo a call or e-mail, ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to let us know, and Jo will call to let you know more details.

Generous Underwriting Donations:  Thanks to all of the following families that have made donations to help underwrite expenses of our Celebration:  Juliette and Marc Laliberte, Jean and Charlie Hanor, Jill Fleuriet and Bill Spedding, Wendy New and Chip Malin, Natalie and Gerardo Zavala, the Kindergarten and Three Day AM parents, alumni Kellene and Larry Davis, and Jake Cherry, and Acorn friends Janie and Jim Worth.  We thank you all for your generosity and if anyone else is able, we can still use more help.  Thanks!

Thanks for all of your help!
